SolSpring partners with Bronson Athletic Club (BAC) to offer the most experienced and professional massage services in the Kalamazoo area. Highly trained, certified and licensed practitioners provide all forms of massage therapy, customized to meet your needs. Therapeutic massage can improve your health, prevent injuries and provide many physical as well as emotional benefits. Make massage an important part of your overall health and wellness program. You do not have to be a member of the BAC to receive a massage there.
What to Expect
If this will be your first visit to the BAC, welcome! Please arrive about 10 minutes before your appointment to allow yourself time to check in, fill out a Health History Form and relax for a few minutes. Guests receiving a massage are free to use the lockers and the shower facilities both before and after their massage. If your practitioner recommends it, guests may use the steam room, sauna, hot tub and cold plunge. Feel free to enjoy a beverage, healthy snack or meal in the deli (located in the commons area).
What to Wear
Depending on the primary technique your therapist uses, you may or may not need to undress. For a full body massage, most people undress completely. However, you may choose to wear underwear. Your massage therapist will give you privacy to undress, and you will be covered with a sheet and blanket at all times except the area being worked on. We want you to feel comfortable at all times.
Gratuities for services are always optional but are certainly appreciated by your practitioner. Tips may be given directly to the practitioner after the service, or you may add it to your bill at the time of final payment.

Benefits of Sports Massage
Sports massage is a specialized field of massage that utilizes many techniques proven effective for athletes. Incorporating massage into your regular conditioning program will help you get in shape faster, with less stiffness and soreness. Regular massage will also help you recover faster from hard workouts, maintain and increase your flexibility and prevent injury. Massage helps to increase overall health and wellness and can be customized to meet your individual body needs and the demands of your particular sport.
If you have sustained an injury, massage will be done as a progressive treatment, beginning with reducing edema, then working to release “splinted” muscles and to help in the formation of healthy scar tissue. This will reduce the chance to re-injure and usually shortens recovery time. This massage is not just for “athletes” – it is also beneficial for the “average” person who may have twisted an ankle, fallen down or pulled muscles doing yard work or any other type of physical work.
